 Missions and Ministries
At Pantops Community Church, we take these words seriously. As a church we are active all year round in ministering in hands-on ways in our community without neglecting our responsibility to care for our neighbors who live beyond our state line and national border. We partner with the Virginia Baptist Mission Board and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship to participate in and support world-wide missions. This page will be updated regularly as we progress through the year to let you know where we are involved in loving our neighbor. Join us in caring for God's children wherever they live. JANUARY 2025 Serve meal at PACEM Men's Sleep Site on January 27 FEBRUARY 2025 Souper Bowl of Caring - Collect canned goods and non-perishables for Loaves and Fishes. MARCH 2025 APRIL 2025 Children's Easter Celebration - Activities to help children understand the Easter story followed by egg hunt and lunch. This year we will be gathering on April19, 10 AM-1 PM. MAY 2025 Begin Global Missions Offering Emphasis. This offering provides support for Cooperative Baptist Fellowship field personnel serving in 50 countries, including many locations within the United States. JUNE 2025 JULY 2025 Co-sponsor Music Camp at Belmont Baptist Church. AUGUST 2025 Collect school supplies and backpacks for children and youth living at Wilton Farm. SEPTEMBER 2025 Collect Alma Hunt State Missions Offering. This offering is used to support ministries of the Woman's Missionary Union of Virginia and the Baptist General Association of Virginia. Offering will be collected through the end of September. OCTOBER 2025 Rise Up Against Hunger meal packaging event. NOVEMBER 2025 Collect hygiene items and greeting cards to be distributed at Christmas to the women at Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women. DECEMBER 2025 Collect hats, scarves, and gloves on the Mitten Tree to be distributed to individuals experiencing homelessness through The Haven.
